He looked round my mouth. Then my tongue. No dentist has ever done a tongue inspection before for me. After he told me I have a lump on my tongue on the right side. He asked me several things. As I did not know I had one. I just told him that at times I feel a small irritation there. A wee pain. Nothing bad. I just thought it was a mouth ulcer.

Well I can see it now. Have no idea what to make of it. I will go back and see him when he gets back. But in the mean time. I think it was on his tongue. So you can understand how I feel now. If he did not specify that then I think he is not overly concerned. Had he been concerned he would have told you he was referring you on to ENT or maxilofacial dept of your hospital for further investigation.

I can really understand your concern after losing a friend to this cancer,it will be very much on your mind being so recent too. Keeping an eye on it for any changes like getting bigger or bleeding, pain, numbness etc is all you can do in the meantime. But try not to worry constantly about it.
